Building, painting and finishing scale aircraft models.
Another build from my 35+ year old attic stash. This time Fujimi’s 1/48 Bf 109 kit that I think I bought in the late 70’s or early 80’s.
The decals are from EagleCals #132 and according to their documentation, this particular [...]
I posted this project here three-and-a-half years ago, and sometime back Martin indicated it would be OK to add previous project photos when the Midway Group Build went live.
The kit is Trumpeter's 1/32 offering, with additional scratch [...]
What began as an OOB build turned into something a bit more complex. I had 2 SDB's in the stash to pick from for the Midway group build, and selected the Hasegawa SDB-3. The Midway decal set I was able to secure for it was for a Marine [...]

Hand salute to Louis Gardner for organizing this build and to Chuck Villanueva for the fine introduction to the Midway reveal. And to Martin and staff for maintaining this excellent modeling web site. Well done gentleman. My subject is one [...]
Part Three, is Accurate Miniatures, AWESOME 1:48 scale kit of this famous dive bomber.
It is in the markings of the aircraft flown from USS Lexington, by Ens John A Leppla, and John Liska, for attacks against IJN Shoho on 7 May, and IJN [...]
Part Two, is the 1:48 scale Hasegawa kit, and it is in the markings of an aircraft flown from IJN Zuikaku, by Lt. Tomatsu Ema, (Pilot) with W/O Azuma, (Gunner).
With the Battle of Midway Group Build being close to it's reveal, I thought it would be proper to also include the "Other" carrier battle that took place, only a month earlier, in the Coral Sea. Much of what occurred during [...]
1/72 Ace, I modified the pilot seat and the lift engines, otherwise OOB, finished in MM enamels with MM FS 20000 acrylic over kit decals, built 2007.
Dear Friends, enclosed one of my latest work - a big thanks to the Kitchecker Team for contributing my building-report within their latest issue:
