I'm currently working on a 1/144 Minicraft DC-8 and Zvezda Tu-154M as a change of pace. I realized that the last airliners I built were the A330 and 767 shown here. I thought I would share them. The A330 is a Revell kit built in 1998. [...]
This is a B-50 created from a Minicraft B-29a and a Minicraft C-97. Both are in 1/144 scale.
I started by cutting the Vertical tail off both kits. I then cut out the gunners cabin from the B-29 and placed it in the C-97's vertical fin. [...]
Although I was not at "The Home", I built this for a lady whose Father worked on the B-36. He is elderly and she wanted it to give to him before the inevitable happens.
It does not represent a B-36 from any squadron in [...]
There are a few weird models on my shelves, but this is one of the strangest. I couldn't find a scale on the instruction sheet, but it looks at home on my "1/144th & other" shelf, next to the other Soviet stuff. Not really [...]
The IL-78 is another nice Trumpeter kit, and a good companion for the A-50 Mainstay. A fairly easy build, with no major flaws. It's an impressive size model for a smaller scale. While I'm glad to have these on the shelf, I don't think [...]
Small scale model of a big aircraft. When it comes to Soviet aircraft, mine are usually 1/72, with a few in 1/48th, and only "fighters". OK, an occasional II-28. When I had the opportunity to pick up 3 big Russian aircraft [...]
This aircraft was flown by a very good friend of mine when he was assigned to VR-21 in Hawaii. Aside from various transport duties it was used as transportation for two Admirals. One was Cincpac and the other was Cincpacflt. Other duties [...]
This is the Dragon 1/144 K 9 Leopold from a couple years ago. I assembled and painted this at work over lunches. At the time I had access to a paint booth so it was a fun way to spend lunch.
This remains the only kit that I have have ever [...]
This is a Vickers Vanguard in 1/144 scale. The Vanguard was the next evolution of the Viscount. It was deveolped to meet a requirement 100+ passenger seating.
According to Wikipedia It entered into service in 1960 & the last one [...]
Here's another Western Pacific billboard airliner.
Minicraft 1/144 737 withn Daco decals. I'll let you figure out who the livery represents.
Built OOB. I used so much acrylic clear on it I floated one of the stencils loose.
