Hi All,
This vignette, “Let me at-em”, I completed about two years ago, portrays an excited trainee and an old-hand instructor just back from a training flight. The build includes the 1/32, Kitty Hawk, T-6 Texan kit, using the SNJ scheme supplied decals, Wings Cockpit Us Navy Pilot and AeroBonus US Marine Fighter Pilot. The SNJ was painted with Tamiya and Mr.Color paints and lightly weathered with artist oil wash and dry brushing highlighting. The figures were painted using Vallejo Mode Colors. Pilots accessories are a True Details WW2 parachute while the flight board and crew bag were scratch built.
Hope you like.
Happy Modeling and keep it fun!
Gary, can I be first to say that this project excels in every way. I think the pilot is the most relaxed and realistic figures I’ve seen. Ever. The crew bag is brilliant, the map, the base; the whole composition is terrific and I love the Texan. This is wonderful modeling.
Fabulous work. Just so impressive.
