The third time is a charm. I could not pass up the opportunity to do a P-40 in a natural metal finish either.
I finished this about 2 years ago, using the Kits World decals for "Tex" Hill's aircraft, & Gator Masks for the camouflage.

i built one of these last year and posted it but was never satisfied with the result...removed the post and trashed the model...the national insignia's on the wing and fuselage are different...one of course is larger and i flubbed it [...]
This model was done in around 2003, having been purchased a couple years earlier. Finding the SMER kit with the better decals at an "aftermarket decal sheet price" prompted me to pull the kit out of the closet and proceed.
