1/48 Sopwith Dolphin

1/48 Copper State Sopwith 5F.1 Dolphin, 16 Sqn RFC 1918. Fun, easy build with ez line fine rigging. My first build of this brand but definitely not the last. I have their other kits, but the more WW1 1/48 they bring out, the more I'll do. ?

1/72 Aichi D3A1 Val, Pearl Harbour GB

Finally got to complete this D3A1 Val as part of the 80th Anniversary Build of Pearl Harbour Attack, thanks to Lis (@Lis) for starting this GB. Info indicated the markings are of L.Cmdr. Egusa's Val 'BI-231' from the Carrier Soryu with the [...]

Hobby Boss General Dynamics YF-16 A

Hello Fiends, This time, i'm showing here a kit that I built many years ago, where my skills weren't so good yet, and still aren't (always improving and learning), but I was already mastering some camouflage with airbrush with hands free, [...]

Tamiya P-38F MTO, USAAF 1/48th Tunisia 1943

To say that the Tamiya P-38 was a joy to build is an understatement. Having built the Academy and Hasegawa Lightning's which are good models of the P-38, just that Tamiya had really taken a rather complicated twin boom air frame and made [...]

My friend Vincent.

You never know where this hobby will lead you. Three years ago, a friend of mine, knowing I am a bit of a history nut and modeler introduced me to Vincent who resides at a local nursing home here. Vincent was a bombardier on B-24's [...]

Revell Reissue of 1/24 Fokker Triplane

This one was a real challenge. Apparently the molds are old and the kit had a TON of flash. Was pretty happy with how my "wood" prop turned out. I don't work much on WWI planes, but this was fun and looks nice on the ceiling [...]

Tamiya 1/48 Ki-61 Tony

This was the second time I built the Tony and I was much happier with this model over the older Hasegawa Tony. The cockpit is a gem and after it is complete, you can have the rest of the plane ready for paint in mere hours. Painting was [...]

Arthur Cundy Jr.and “Alabama Rammer Jammer” Arthur C. Cundy Jr. was born in Birmingham, Alabama on the Fourth of July, 1924. His father was a veteran of the 1st World War. His mother, Virginia Key, served as a recruiting officer in the [...]

Classic Kit: Airfix Lockheed Hudson I Kit 05034

Last year iModeler member Tom Bebout sent me some classic kits with the request I would build them. I told him I would and here is the first one of them. It is an older Airfix kit with the original first issued in 1963 as kit 386. As I [...]

1/48 Curtiss-Wright CW-21B

This is a limited edition kit by Dora Wings that was produced for IPMS Netherlands. The kit is generally well fitting and nicely detailed with fine recessed panel lines. The canopy is crystal clear but is a one piece part. I found masks [...]
