Building, painting and finishing scale aircraft models.
I built this kit once back in 2017, only about a year into the hobby. So as you can imagine it was not that great. Since my skills have come along way since then it was time to replace the original with a new one. I regretted that [...]
The reputation of this kit proceeds itself. I bought it several years ago at Hobby Lobby, the box art caught my eye. That was when I was still fresh to the hobby, and didn't know how bad this kit was. Fortunately before I attempted it I [...]
1/48 scale kit by Hasegawa
I finished the kit of the reconnaissance type Draken.
The kit was originally very well made, so the modifications were minimal.
The paint is weathered and faded to give the overall impression of use.
‘Sticking’ to the Rising Decals MM72-0101 Dying Suns Pt.2 decal sheet, I wanted to have a captured Zero in my display. The decal sheet called for a Nakajima built A6M2 m.21 and specified the aircraft had type 99 Mark II cannons - I had [...]
Calling this one FINI!
Nice little kit which I built completely OOB. I've always liked Leroy Grumman's 'Hot Rod' as it was called in Grumman Corp. Circles.
The kit as it comes OOB, is actually a -1b. I wanted to build a real early [...]
AMK's Kfir is a very good kit. It has nicely engraved panel lines and plastic parts are crisply molded. Thus, the fit of parts is very good except for the intakes to fuselage joints. This fault plagues most Mirage type molds of most [...]
Italeri kit with 'no additives' unless you count the outstanding Sky decals. Paints are Mr Color lacquers and Tamiya acrylics all mixed until 'they look right' - no exact formulas here.
I temporarily tack-glued the ventral gondola section [...]
I love all of the Swedish jets, and decided to start my Swedish collection with the Tunnan. The original kit in my stash was a Matchbox kit, but when I opened it and saw how toy-like it was, I tossed it and found a Heller kit on ebay. The [...]
FT-5, this kit is not available on the market yet. I modified it using MIG15UTI, and the effect is good. The small airplane is very fun!
I’ve completed my build of the photo reconnaissance version of the P-38E Lightning. The particular version I built was an F-4 Lightning (versus F-4A as often seen) used by The Royal Australian Air Force in 1943.
This has been a fun [...]
