The "Topaz" an 85 ft. 1960's Yacht

My Covid 19 project (everyone has one) was to convert an old Lindberg Coastal Patrol Boat (USCG) into something a little different. I had already done the original version (50's), and a PG Patrol Motor Gunboat (70's) , and had a spare [...]

S.S. Venture at Scull island, Lindberg Q ship.

This is Round 2's reissue of the old Lindberg Q ship kit. I made it into a tramp steamer resembling the ship seen in the 1933 King Kong movie. It's about 1/400 ish scale. All I need is a King Kong figure.

HNoMS St. Albans – Mirage Hobby 1/400

Finally got some time on the bench in 2020. Needed something small to get me going again, so I gave a go at the four-stack destroyer of Mirage Hobby. The build is OOB with the addition of some generic 1/350 railings. Hope you like it! [...]

USS Colorado in drydock

I wanted achieve a highly weathered effect so I used large amounts of washes and weathering techniques. I wanted to make some parts look like they were covered with clothes so I made these clothes out of tin foil. The dock is scratchbuilt.

#IntrepidCorrected – Revell’s Classic 1/720 Essex Class Carrier (Corrected)

For many modelers of World War II ships, Revell's 1/720 scale model of the USS Intrepid (CV – 11) was an early favorite. It was cheap (two dollars, compared to four dollars for a Tamiya Akagi), easy to build, and gave you a big [...]
