1/32 Ju87D-8 "Night Stuka", Hasegawa 08171

This is Hasegawa’s Ju87D-8 “Night Stuka”. I tried to replicate the box art which I like very much. The most difficult part of the kit IMO is the canopy. I sanded off the molded on structure and polished it again. Then I tried to add [...]

Avion GrecA Royal Hellenic Air Force Adventure

Acknowledgements Firstly I'd like to start with thanks to Spiros Pendedekas (@fiveten) and Giannis Asimakos (@mfcg). Without either this project could not have been finished. The help Spiros gave was invaluable and his willingness to [...]

Rivet City (Monogram) HU-16B

One to add to my archive. I made this one some years ago. Festooned with rivets, I did my best to get a good fit between parts so I could avoid sanding them away. Tamiya spray can silver and Testors paints finished the job.

Uganda Mig17 F

Another Smer/ Airifx/ Mister Craft 1:48 finished as a Ugandan Mig17 F. These are old, clunky, cheap but well engineered kits and this is my third one. No filler involved at all. I did replace the arment with turned brass as the pitot [...]

Tamiya 1:48 P-47M (Kit #61096*2800)

The title is a bit misleading as this is supposed to be an F-47D-40-RA and Tamiya supplies extra parts to do so. The F-47D came about as the new U.S.A.F. changed from Pursuit to Fighter. If you want to see a photo of the actual aircraft, [...]

Betty Jo

On June 21, 1957, my dad Andrew Balazi, and NACA test pilot Joseph Algranti, flew F82B Betty Jo from NACA Cleveland, Ohio to the U.S. Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio.

Zvezda 1/72 Bf 109 F2

This was a project with a purpose. I wanted to experiment with using pastel chalk powders to attempt fine-line camouflage patterns and wanted to start on something small. I looked through the decals I had been collecting for my 109 [...]
