Another Slowak uprising build!
I do know this Eduard kit has been presented here before, but in order to present my 109's I have chosen to add it here too.
I have used the kit decals even though I do realise they are slightly wrong with too fat lines. I opened the vent on the side of the fuselage.
On top of the ProfiPack items, I have installed homemade pushrods for the coolers
and I have opened the mouths of them, and some Uschi van der Rosten wire is used for the antenna
Brakelines are copper wire, and the pushrods are scratchbuilt (not visible in these pictures)
The guns and pitot tube are Brass items
and not least the position lights are homemade
If you want to see all the details, do click on the link below. All in all it has taken 18 months of off/on building and waiting for the paint to dry. . .
Very nice Erik and I agree about the decals
Thank you George (@blackadder57).
Another 109 beauty, Erik.
Exceptional how you created those position lights.
Also the brass components are a great addition to this build.
John (@JohnB), most kind. Those extras just makes a lot of difference dont they?
Congratulations on your build, my friend @airbum!
I love all the add-ons!
Spiros (@fiveten), thank you. Great AM stuff indeed.
Nice work, Erik! I haven’t built a 109 in 28 years and think it’s time to freshen up my collection. I enjoyed following this one and the Condor Legion bird that you did. These two are on my to-do list.
John (@j-healy), There is always a time to make a 109 🙂
If not sooner, then there is whisper of a Luftwaffe group coming up when some of the groups run out, and if you need an excuse that will be the day to get going. Now, if the urge to build one of all the non-LW 109's is there, do go ahead!
Nice job, good to see a non German scheme!
Thank you Reinhard (@grimreaper). If the urge to build a 109 is strong, there are exceptionally non-LW colors around, and the AM decal segment has a huge selection for those who want something special.
think my dad already built most non Luftwaffe 109 schemes 😀
109 heaven Eric! Well done.
