iModeler Figures

The art of figure sculpting, modeling and painting.

Groundwork’s...

I also like to dabble with fantasy figures but even then I try to achieve realistic effects, one of my favourite aspects of modelling/punting is the creation of extensive scenic bases... What do you think?

European Knight

Progress in this one has been so slow in this infernal heat wave, there are certain elements that I like but overall I’m really struggling to tie this one together and to be happy about it. Who else is losing their mojo in this heat?

Adolf Galland, German Fighter Pilot Ace, WWII, 200mm Verlinden figure

The only 200mm figure I've ever made, it had to have some meaning. Him being a WWII fighter pilot Ace, and on top of that being my homonym, it was a good match 😉 Again, on the close-up, I notice the eyes could be better, but when [...]

US General Norman Schwarzkopf, 120mm Verlinden figure

Another 120mm Verlinden figure made in resin. I did this one mainly because I wanted to test the results of painting a camouflaged uniform. Overall I think it's not too bad. What do you guys think? Constructive critics welcome [...]

USAF Memphis Belle Crewman, WWII, 120mm Verlinden figure

Another 120mm resin Verlinden figure, this one is a crewman of the famous Memphis Belle B-17 bomber, the 1st one to have successfuly finished 25 missions (which allowed the crew members to "retire", back to the US; some did it, [...]

USAF Fighter Pilot, WWII, 120mm Verlinden figure

Oosterbeek, Niederlande, 17. September 1944, 1/35

Hello everyone, after a long time, I have finished another project. This time, the MG-42, the Hohenstaufen division, from the Netherlands in September 1944, was used. I used the First Legion figurines, Dragon GEN2 gear, I used the Andrea [...]

The Three Soldiers pt.4

The final display, upon which all three kits are nested, needed to be planned to be separated for transport. My initial idea was a circle with a chevron cut out to resemble the wall at the actual location in D.C. The base would cut into [...]

The Three Soldiers pt.3

I wanted to render the last kit as the statue on display in D.C. The actual statue is not a monotone bronze color, but instead has the uniforms, equipment and weapons colored with epoxy paint. Bare skin areas are left ‘in the rough’ [...]

The Three Soldiers pt.2

Second of the models (all Gold), I just rushed, trying to accomplish a one day build, resulted in improper fits and the necessity to reposition the mid character on the base - not according to assigned holes. Yep - had to drill my own [...]
