Building, painting and finishing scale aircraft models.
Hi Everyone...
Today I finished up the Mitsubishi J2M in the colors of an actual Ki-61 that was captured by the U.S. Marines during WWII. I think it catches the spirit of the "What If" without going to overboard. Next is a P-39 [...]
Time for another black cockpit, been a while now. Although I have filed a Sit-Around from a RAN Sea Venom before I think you can take one more. This time it´s the very nice cockpit from from the WZ 939 at the Classic Jet Fighter museum at [...]
I think the Hawker Hunter is one of the most esthetically pleasing aircraft ever to fly. I've made Revell's 1/32, 1/72, and, now 1/144 Hunters. I have to say I like this 1/144 kit the best. If I can find a 1/144 Hunter decal sheet, I'd [...]
The XF-88 "Voodoo" , first flown in 1948, was an under powered version of came to be the F-101. It was designed to be a long range fighter to escort B-29's.
The kit really shows it's age and outside of filling out my Voodoo [...]
One of my older builds from the mid 90's. I started building my current stash back in the early 90's. Living in the East Coast I started picking up more kits to bring back with me when I returned home to So California. Not only Tamiya [...]
Nice little kit but smoothing in the big windshield area was challenging. Built it to compliment a Hasagawa 1:200 C-130. Is a 1:72 next?
As the profipack, the kit comes with extra detail and of course masks. Only problems occurring was a tiny gap in the wing root, flimsy front landing gear and a slight bent nose aerial. Painting was done in Tamiya and Revell paints, both [...]
Revell 1/144 U-Boat VIIC/41 Atlantic Version.
Starting mid-1943, 91 u-boots Type VII C/41 have been launched. By then, the conditions of the battle had totally changed. The wolfpack tactic achieved then seldom positive results against [...]
Here's my 1/72 Hasegawa G3m Nell. A straightforward build although masking the clear parts was tedious even with a pre-cut mask set. I tried post-shading panel lines with powders on this one. Probably won't do that again. I think I can get [...]
