On to Berlin!

Adding to Maxim Bylkin' "theme" I dredged up this old biscuit. It's a 1/72 Dragon T-34-85 with "bedspring" armor. The bedsprings were actually metal grids with brackets welded up as early stand-off armor, to defeat [...]

Revell-Germany 1/48 Me-410B-2/U4

The Messeschmitt Me-410 was essentially a redesigned Me-210, with a lengthened fuselage and DB603 engines rather than the DB605 of the earlier design. This redesign solved the problems of the Me-210, which were so difficult that it was [...]

Zvezda 1/72 IS-2, Berlin, 1945

Hello everyone! Presents its next model, fresh one - heavy tank IS-2, one of the "Berlin trio" (T-34, IS-2, ISU-152). Gorgeous model from the company Zvezda, work with it - a pleasure. Half a day was spent on assembly and day - [...]

Shizuoka 2015 #8

And here's the last post with some of the most interesting models and dioramas I saw in the show. Note the really funny mini sub dio with the faucet. The extremely interesting and original warship creations by ARS NOVA are based on a manga [...]

Shizuoka 2015 #7

The Lohner T in 1/32 was all scratch built (solid model) by Oyabu Katsuyoshi. The F-84G Thunderjet, Hasegawa 1/72, was built by Shirai Asao and he made clear that he did not use any decals! All stencils and markings are hand painted!

Mass release of OzMod's PC-9s

OzMods has released three separate boxings of its 1/72 Pilatus PC-9 injected kit. OMKIT 7201 is a rerun of the kit with RAAF Roulettes and Thai Air Force demo teams; 7202 has Royal Air Force/BAe Support Aircraft and RAAF FACs; 7203 has [...]

Shizuoka 2015 #6

The (67) diorama was one of my most favorite of the show. Two more postings tomorrow and that will be all. Thank you for the comments and support. Glad you like.

Shizuoka 2015 #5

More photos. The first funky ship with the pagoda temple was built by a different modeler but there was no tag so I have no further details. The rest of the ships were built by a group called "Zenkoku Jokaku Mokei Fukyu Kyokai" [...]

1/144 Cubana Tu-154m

I haven't got much modeling done this year due to work and family commitments, but I have managed to finish this beautiful Zvezda airliner kit. It assembles precisely, with the best fit I've ever experienced in a small scale airliner kit. [...]

Tamiya 1/25 Scale Cenurion Tank

Firstly let me apologise for the poor pictures, I will post better ones when I get back home from the Congo. This Centurion tank kit was released by Tamiya in 1973. The was a tank given to me to build from a friend of mine Tappie Scholtz [...]
