Eduard 1/72 Fokker Eindecker.IV

I built this little kit in preparation for a Wingnut Wings kit. It went together fairly well. It had some photo-etch parts (seat belts, wheel covers, guns) and they were nice. After putting the cockpit in I tried to cover-up the seam down [...]

Tamiya 1/48 P-51D Mustang

This is Tamiya's P-51 and it was a joy to build. The kit came in clean gray molding and the second I got it I sat right down to it. I painted everything to what Tamiya told me to and then I spent three or four days super detailing the [...]

Eduard 1/72 Lavochkin La-7

Officially finished my 3rd model this year. This is Eduard's 1/72 scale Lavochkin La-7, initiated one year previously as a quick OOB project. It is one of Eduard's early mainstream kits and I regrettably rank it as one of the company's [...]

iModeler September award…

happily landed on my doorstep a couple of days ago. Thanks Martin and all iModeler members for giving me this rare jewel of a model. Don't expect to be build any time sooner, as I have another 20 or so kits to go 🙂 Thank you all! Best [...]

Tamiya 1/35 Centurion Mk.III

I built this kit a while ago and it was a test bed for battle damage. The kit was one I got from an auction and it was old, with lots of ejection-pin marks, but thankfully they were all on the inside. I used a soldering iron (not a hot [...]

Tamiya Spitfire MkVB Trop 1/48

HI all, here's my latest. Major Levine's Spitfire VB. Hope you like. Decal sheet said it was a VC, but upon doing research and talking with others, I was happy to see it was in fact a VB. No need for a new VC wing. 😉 It's heavily [...]

A Great New F-16

Just finished Tamiya's recently released 1:72 F-16. It's a nearly flawless kit, but could use some additional underwing stores. Unfortunately I had a painting mishap on the underside. Not too obvious though. This was a great kit!

A Lightning Build

The eighth model I've finished this year, this is the old Hasegawa Lightning F Mk. 6 in 1/72 scale. The kit parts fit together quite well but, detail is lacking by today's standards. The intake has almost no depth, the cockpit not much [...]

Revell 1/32 Messerschmitt BF109G-6

Did this about a year ago when this first came out. Not bad for only £22. I would highly recommend this to any Messerschmitt fan, the amount of detail during the build was amazing and outstanding. It now has a very proud of place on my [...]

1/24 Revell / Monogram Scarab, Done, Finito, Finished.

I built this years ago and it was a glue bomb. I wanted to go back and give her another try. There is still a few woogies here and there, but I am happy with the results. The only modification I made was to add a top half of a engine under [...]
