Having double ordered Airfix's new 1/48 scale Spitfire XII & Seafire XVII & completed one of each with a great deal of satisfaction, I wondered what to do with the second pair of kits that would be more interesting than doing the [...]
I had no plan to build a Humvee of any sort until Tamiya announced their M1025. Just one of those cases where I had the urge to build something just because it was a Tamiya kit and I knew it was going to make for a fun and straight forward [...]
Another OOB build of one of the best OOB kits ever released, the Accurate Miniatures SBD-5 Dauntless in the markings of VMSB-232 during the Central Pacific Campaign. Following the successful taking of Kwajalein in the Marshalls, the other [...]
One of the last releases by "real" Accurate Miniatures was the SBD-4, which differs from the SBD-3 primarily by having the same prop as the SBD-5, and was also provided with these decals to do a VS-41 Dauntless from the Ranger [...]
This is an almost self-building Tamiya kit. Painted and finished with Humbrol enamels and Superscale decals. The only thing I really added to this one was a set of Eduard belts.

This and the SB2U-3 are the last ones for 2012.
Done back in 2005, using the Yellow Wings Decals "Dive Bomber" set to do the airplane from VB-3 that was used when LCDR Joe Blake (Fred MacMurray) took LT Doug Lee (Erroll Flynn) [...]
The Roden Gladiator is one of their better 1/48th biplane kits, owing mainly to the parts being a bit more robust than most of their WW1 kits. This model represents GL-255, a machine belonging to LeLv 26 flown by 44-victory Ace Sgt. Oiva [...]
This is 1/32 Hasegawa P-40 Kittyhawk Mk.1 finished with the markings of “London Pride ” (AK772 GA-Y) from No.112 Squadron RAF (Shark Squadron) during spring of 1942 in Gambut Libya . This Kittyhawk was flown by P.O. Burney & Sqn [...]
