Anyone need paint?

The classified section seems to have disappeared, so... A year or so ago, a friend on a road trip came upon a hobby shop that was closing and stopped in to see what was left. Knowing I was a plastic modeler, he bought their entire [...]

P-400. The Guadalcanal Cobra.

Helo. This Eduard kit was build some time ago. Its the weekend edition. Build simply oob and painted with Gunze and Tamiya acrylic paints. The US national markings are painted on it as weathered. Best regards

Eduard 1/48 Fokker Dr 1.

Eduard 1/48 Fokker Dr1 flown by Rittmeister Manfred Freiherr von Richthofen. CO of JG 1 , Lechelle France, March 1918. This is not the one he was shot down in and there's much conjecture regarding the red shade. I have a pic from the [...]

In the far North...1/48 Focke-Wulf Fw190A-8, 12./JG5

Built in 2016. Hasegawa kit with Kommandeur decals, the JG5 batch is from Kagero because it came closest to the original, the little 4s on the gear covers are from the sparesbox. Painted as usual back then with Gunze and Tamiya acrylics, [...]

Trumpeter 1:72 Soviet T-28 Medium Tank

Back in 1992-1993 I used Larry Gertner's article on accurizing a Hasegawa Essex kit to represent the Lexington (CV-16) in June 1944. After finishing that model in 1993, I wanted to build one that was as different as possible, and bought [...]

I/48th Monogram F-102A

This F-102A was built pretty much out of the box with the exceptions being an Eduard PE seat belt and after-market decals from Draw. A trouble free build but I was surprised at how big that finished model is. The gray paint was MM enamel [...]

Classic Kit: Hasegawa 1/72 B-17G

Here's the vintage Hasegawa that is still being sold today. I finished it in April and on this one I photographed it outside using a Nikon film camera. An Eduard mask made it so much easier in painting the model. I did correct the [...]

The Kawasaki Ki-61 Hien (飛燕, "flying swallow") is a Japanese World War II fighter aircraft. Used by the Imperial Japanese Army Air Service, it was designated the "Army Type 3 Fighter" (三式戦闘機). Allied [...]
