The Japanese battleships Fuso and Yamashiro were attacked and sunk by the U.S. 7th Fleet in the Battle of Surigao Strait, 25 October 1944. Fuso was torpedoed by a U.S. Navy destroyers, and Yamashiro was shot down by U.S. 7th Fleet ships. [...]
HMS Barham was torpedoed by U-331, 25 November 1941. Three of the four torpedo boats hit HMS Barham. She sank in a massive explosion four minutes after her incline, with 862 casualties.
