MonoFix SHAR FRS.1

Before Kinetic released the British 1st Gen. SHARs the only good way to build one was a kit-bash. Here is my bash from 2013/14. There is too much to describe here so I have included a link to my WIP on BM. This is old school modeling [...]

1/32 Scale Silver Wings Gloster Gladiator Mk 2, SAAF, 1940

This is a kit that I have wanted to build for a long time, I want to try and build as many 1/32 SAAF Aircraft as I can, so this Gladiator was one kit that I had to have, I was busy building the Vampire T Mk 55 when this kit arrived, and [...]

Otaki 1/48 Focke-Wulf FW-190

An old kit from the 1970s, but went together very well. No putty or filler needed anywhere. Painted with Gunze-Sangyo acrylics, and markings are from an old Cutting Edge sheet. The only modifications done were drilling out the gun barrels.

Hasegawa 1/72 RF-101C Voodoo

Started this over two years ago. Got a bit distracted trying to decide what to do with all the raised panel lines that got obliterated by sanding down the seams, and other builds seemed like more fun! In the end, rather than sanding the [...]

Curtis P 40E Kittyhawk, A29-41, 75 Sqn RAAF Port Moresby 1942.

1/72 Academy, the second of my Kittyhawks so far, I modified a few things, finished in Humbrol and MM enamels with Tamiya X22, + X21 over Aussie and Badger decals. Flown by Flt Lt Les Jackson DFC and Bar with 5 victories.

Corsair build, some tips, and what a great fit

First, the beer. I am not in general fond of Pumpkin beers, especially ones from larger breweries. As often as not it is like they tried to stuff a pie in a bottle with some alcohol. But here in the Pacific Northwest I have found 3 I [...]
