Here is a line up of 1/35th Leopards from various manufacturers. The 1 A1 is the old Tamiya kit. I'm going to replace it soon with the new mould Revell kit. The 1 A4 again is Tamiya. Revell (old mould) provides the Leopard 1 A5A5. This model is based on a picture in the Osprey New Vanguard of the Leopard 1 and variants. I highly recommend this book. I've also posted the images of the comparison Meng kit that was under construction at the time.
The Leopard 2 is the Italeri kit, a very nice kit, but again, over taken by the new Meng releases. The 2A5 is the Tamiya kit, no need to question the quality, it's superb.
I'm starting work on a series of "foreign" Leopards, from Australia, Belgium, Canada, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. I'm using mostly Meng kits, but there are also a Takom and Tamiya or two in there somewhere.
I'll post some images of what I have done so far as W.I.Ps.
All outstanding builds, Ian...nice work, my friend.
Thank you so much. It's great to have such a compliment from fellow modellers!
Ian, these are GREAT! The Leo series are great tanks & you've modelled them VERY well!
Thanks Jeff
Keep your eye's open, there's more to follow...
